Google's Self-Driving Car is Now Ready to Hit the Road

Google has taken the wraps off the production version of its self-driving vehicle, which is now ready to begin real world testing.

Earlier this year Google unveiled its self-driving car, but that early model was merely a mock up. Now Google has taken the wraps off the production version of its self-driving vehicle, which is now ready to begin real world testing.

Google’s self-driving vehicle now features functional headlights, larger mirrors and a restyled sensor on the roof. Testing is expected to being next year in California and even though it is supposed to be able to drive on its own, test drivers will still ride in the vehicle during the testing phase.
