This month the Chevrolet Trax small crossover is going to start rolling into showrooms. The Trax is another new entry in the growing small SUV segment and now that both Buick and Chevrolet have one, will GMC be next?
“I think that is certainly possible,” Trax chief engineer Al Manzor said when asked about the possibility of GMC getting its own version of the Trax. The Trax and Buick Encore are both rebadged version of the Opel Mokka in Europe. Adding a GMC version would give GMC something to go head to head with the Jeep Renegade, Honda HR-V and Mazda CX-3.

The only issue with a GMC version is that it could steal sales from the Buick Encore.
