Although there have been rumors that Ford will unveil the new Ford Ranger next month at the Detroit Auto Show, Ford has yet to confirm it. On the other hand, Ford has confirmed that the off-road loving Ranger Raptor will debut in Bangkok, Thailand on February 7.

Ford Ranger Raptor

Australia’s Motoring is reporting that Ford has confirmed the debut of the Ranger Raptor. The Ranger Raptor will debut with a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine, although when it arrives in the US it will get a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6. The V6 will likely be mated to a 10-speed automatic, while a manual transmission probably isn’t in the cards.

Ford hasn’t released any other details about the Ranger Raptor and even though it is going to debut in February, we still don’t have a date of when it will arrive in the US. The standard Ranger will arrive by the end of 2018.
