It’s been rumored that the Ford Edge and Lincoln Nautilus won’t be around much longer and now a new report confirms that both midsize crossovers will be discontinued after the 2023 model year.
Automotive News is reporting that both the Edge and the Nautilus will be dead soon. It looks like Ford is also already winding down the Edge, since the 2022 Edge will not be offered with a front-wheel drive version, instead it’s only available with all-wheel drive.
Why is Ford killing them? Well for starters its Oakville Assembly Complex in Canada where the Edge and Nautilus are currently built, will soon only build electric vehicles. It’s expected that both models will be replaced by new electric crossovers.
