Fans of the Lexus IS F will be sad to hear that the final IS F rolled off the line in Japan last week. A blue IS F that is going to find a new home in the U.S. is officially the last one.
The IS F was based on the last-generation IS sedan and was powered by a 416-hp 5.0L V8. Fortunately Lexus does have something that will sort of replace it – the 2015 RC F. The RC F takes off from where the IS F left off and is even powered by the same 5.0L V8, but with more power (450 horsepower and 383 lb-ft. of torque.
Will there be another IS F? Lexus hasn’t confirmed anything, but there have been reports that a new IS F could debut sometime in 2015.
