Dodge Avenger Successor May be a Rear-Wheel-Drive Sedan

With the arrival of the 2015 Chrysler 200, Chrysler has officially said goodbye to its counterpart, the Dodge Avenger. With the Avenger now gone from the Dodge lineup, Chrysler may be working on a new midsize rear-wheel-drive sedan that could fill the Avenger’s spot.

With the arrival of the 2015 Chrysler 200, Chrysler has officially said goodbye to its counterpart, the Dodge Avenger. With the Avenger now gone from the Dodge lineup, Chrysler may be working on a new midsize rear-wheel-drive sedan that could fill the Avenger’s spot.
Allpar is reporting that a new D-segment sedan is in the works for the Dodge brand, which will share its platform with a new rear-wheel-drive Alfa Romeo. By building a Dodge version of the new Alfa Romeo, Chrysler and its parent Fiat will be able to spread out the development costs of the new platform.

Later this month, Alfa Romeo is going to officially return to North America when the 4C sports car debuts at the New York Auto Show. Alfa Romeo is reportedly working on up to seven new models, which may even borrow their engines from Ferrari.
