Consumer Reports is not giving the new 2014 Lexus IS 250 or Infiniti Q50 its coveted “recommended” rating, since both sedans failed to impress the magazine.
Consumer Reports is not giving the new 2014 Lexus IS 250 or Infiniti Q50 its coveted “recommended” rating, since both sedans failed to impress the magazine. Consumer Reports dinged the Lexus IS 250 for not being sporty and for its low fuel economy ratings, while the Infiniti Q50 failed to top its predecessor, the Q37.
The Lexus IS 250 was deemed “neither sporty nor luxurious” by the magazine and sadly received the lowest road test score of any recent Lexus sedan. The 2.5L V6 powered IS 250 didn’t handle as well as the magazine had hoped and its road noise levels were higher than expected.
The new Infiniti Q50 sedan, which is the replacement for the G37 was dinged for having an “underwhelming driving experience.”
