After several months the wait is finally over. Jeep has finally worked out the software issues that prevented thousands of 2014 Jeep Cherokees from being shipped to dealers. The Cherokee was scheduled to arrive about two months ago, but Chrysler delayed the launch while it worked on new software to smooth out the way the engine and nine-speed transmission interact.
23,000 Jeep Cherokees have been built since the SUV went into production on June 24. If you’ve been waiting to get your hands on one, you should start seeing them arrive in dealerships in the next 10 days.
