The electric pickup segment is heating up with the arrival of the Rivian R1T and the Ford F-150 Lighting. Well Chevy wants to get in on the action with a fully electric Silverado and now it’s being reported that the Silverado EV will enter production in early 2023.
Automotive News is reporting that the Silverado EV will enter production in just over a year, which was confirmed by Doug Parks, executive vice president for global product development, purchasing and supply chain at General Motors.
We don’t know that much about the Silverado EV, with the big question being if it will be based on the current-generation Silverado or something different. It’s rumored that the Silverado EV will have a range around 400 miles and it will also offer four-wheel steering.
Luckily we don’t have to wait too long to see the Silverado EV since it will debut at CES in January.
