The Chevy Bolt EV is going to arrive nationwide in August, a month earlier than the automaker originally planned. Chevy has now started taking orders from select certified dealers nationwide, with the first units scheduled to arrive in August.
“We were waiting for the training to be done, we were waiting for the right tools to be in place,” Steve Majoros, Chevrolet’s marketing director for cars and crossovers revealed. “We are kind of ahead of schedule on implementing all of those things as well as making sure we have enough sufficient inventory.” One of the prerequisites is that all dealers that want to sell the Bolt have to install DC fast-charging stations.

When the Bolt originally went on sale, it was only available in California and Europe. Chevy has continued to expand its availability and by the end of May 6,529 units had been sold.
