The Chevy Blazer is officially back! Chevy has unveiled the 2019 Blazer, which has reborn as a new midsize crossover in Chevy’s lineup, that slots it directly between the Equinox and Traverse.
The 2019 Chevy Blazer brings appeals to buyers that want something that’s a step above the Traverse, but that don’t need the extra space that the Traverse provides. Compared to the last truck-based Blazer models, the 2019 Blazer may have softer bones, but on the outside its aggressive styling will help it stand out in the crowded midsize segment.
According to Chevy, the 2019 Blazer features the “boldest, most progressive expression” of its its crossover design language. It has a wide stance and sculpted body that give it an athletic appearance.
The 2019 Blazer will offer two engine options: a 2.5L four-cylinder engine with 193 horsepower and 188 lb-ft. of torque or a 3.6L V6 with 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft. of torque. Both engines faeture stop/ start technology and are mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is also optional and RS and Premier models get a more sophisticated twin-clutch AWD system.
The 2019 Chevy Blazer will arrive in early 2019.
