Cadillac might be getting ready to put the sexy Escala concept into production. A new report claims that the 2016 Cadillac Escala concept has been given the green light and that production will begin at GM’s Detroit-Hamtramck factory in December 2021.

The rumor comes from Auto Forecast Solutions and Autoline Daily who just chatted about the Escala in its latest video. While the rumor claims that the Escala concept will enter production, other details aren’t known. Will it be a sedan or maybe a four-door coupe to rival models like the Audi A7 and Porsche Panamera? When Cadillac unveiled the Escala concept back in 2016, the concept was meant to preview Cadillac’s future design language and possibly even a new flagship sedan above the CT6.

Since the concept’s debut, Cadillac has continued to show it off on the auto show circuit, but Cadillac hasn’t formally announced any production plans.
