Audi has confirmed that it will release a new four-door electric sedan in 2020, which will be called the e-tron GT. Audi hasn’t released any other details about the Audi e-tron GT, but it’s expected that it will share its DNA with the Porsche Mission E.

Audi made the announcement about the e-tron GT at its annual press conference where Audi also confirmed that the e-tron GT will be one of 20 electrified models that will be released by 2025. Production of the e-tron GT will kick off in 2020 at Audi’s Böllinger Höfe site in Neckarsulm, Germany.

“We interpret sportiness very progressively with our fully electric e-tron GT, and this is how we will take our high-performance brand Audi Sport into the future,” stated Audi chairman Rupert Stadler.

The e-tron GT will follow the release of two electric crossovers. The first is the e-tron, which will be revealed later this year and it will be followed by the sportier e-tron Sportback.
