Cadillac may be working on a more extreme version of the new ATS-V, according to remarks made by chief engineer David Leone. When questioned if Cadillac has any plans to rival the Mercedes-Benz Black Series models, Leone simply stated, “We might have something down the road that is a little bit more aggressive.”
According to Car and Driver, the more extreme ATS-V could arrive by 2017, although nothing has been officially confirmed. What can you expect from the hotter ATS-V? Well don’t expect it to get either all-wheel drive or a dual-clutch transmission, since those options were left off to keep the weight down. Instead the more extreme ATS-V could get some weight saving measures and it may pack a bit more power than the current 464-hp.
