The BMW Vision EfficientDynamics concept debuted at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show and a production version is slated for 2013. BMW’s Sales and Marketing Director Ian Robertson recently told Inside Line that the hybrid supercar will will “redefine how we look at high-performance sports cars.”
The overall design of the production version is not expected to change much from the concept. BMW hasn’t released any pricing details other than Robertson suggesting that the price would be less than £150,000 ($240,000).
The Vision EfficientDynamics is powered by a three-cylinder turbodiesel engine mated to a hybrid synchronous motor in the front and a full-hybrid engine in back for a total output of 328-hp.
