A new report claims that BMW is working on plans for an all-electric SUV that will take on the upcoming Tesla Model X. We’re still months away from the arrival of the Model X, but due to the successful response that Tesla has received so far, it only makes sense that other automakers want to build rivals.

Germany’s WirtschaftsWoche is reporting that BMW’s board is currently looking at the idea of introducing an electric SUV. In addition to the Tesla Model X, if BMW does decide to release an electric SUV, it will also have some competition from Audi. Audi has already announced plans to introduce an electric SUV that could have a range up to 300 miles.
