Bentley has unveiled the Bentley Continental GT3-R, which is says is the “fastest-accelerating Bentley ever” with its 572-hp V8 and 0-60 mph time of 3.6 seconds.
The Continental GT3-R is inspired by the Continental GT3 race car and will be the rarest Continental GT with only 300 units planned for production. The Continental GT3-R is powered by a retuned version of Bentley’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with 572 horsepower and 516 lb-ft. of torque. Thanks to the added power, a 220 pound weight reduction kg weight reduction and shorter gearing, the Continental GT3-R is capable of reaching a top speed of 170 mph. All that power is sent to the ground via an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox and an all-wheel drive system. For the first time for a Bentley, the drivetrain has the ability to control the torque at each of the rear wheels through the use of torque vectoring.

Inside the rear seats have been deleted to save weight, leaving just two front seats with additional side support through deeper bolsters, including newly designed foam layers for comfort and finished in Beluga black leather with diamond-quilted Alcantara. Carbon fiber is also used for the door casings that also include diamond-quilted Alcantara inner panels. In place of the rear seats is a new uniquely trimmed rear cabin, complete with a carbon fiber surround and finished in leather and Alcantara.
All 300 cars will be painted in Glacier White paint and it also gets a new front splitter and a fixed rear wing. Deliveries will start at the end of 2014.
