Audi is bringing a new concept car to Wörthersee Tour – the TT clubsport turbo concept. Even with styling bits that look like they are borrowed from the R8, the big news is what powers the concept, a 600 horsepower powertrain that gives the concept a 0-62 mph time of only 3.6 seconds.

The TT clubsport turbo concept is powered by a turbocharged 2.5L TFSI five-cylinder engine with 600 horsepower and 479 lb-ft. of torque that is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The turbocharger itself is an electric unit that gets its power from a compact lithium-ion battery in the luggage compartment that stores the energy that is generated by recuperation when coasting.

Audi says that it the technology is close to production ready.
Compared to the TT, the concept is 5.5-inches wider and it also features a manually adjustable rear wing.
