Audi Q3 Gets a Facelift, RS Q3 Now Packs 340-HP

Even though the U.S. just received the small Audi Q3 crossover, it’s been on sale in Europe since 2011. Audi has revealed the revised Q3, which will go on sale will go on sale in Europe in early 2015, while the U.S. will probably see the revised Q3 as a 2016 model.

The styling of the revised Q3 is a dramatic departure with the biggest revisions being new headlights, a revised grille and restyled bumpers. Under the skin Audi says that the new Q3 gets some chassis tweaks and the Audi drive select system enables the driver to adjust key technology modules, including the optional active dampers, to suit his or her personal preferences.

In Europe the Q3 is offered with a choice of three TFSI and three TDI four‑cylinder engines that are either 1.4 or 2.0 liters in size with power ranging from 120-hp and 220-hp. In the U.S. the Q3 is only offered with the turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder TFSI engine. European buyers can also check the box for the RS Q3 model, which is powered by a 2.5-liter TFSI with to 340 hp, which is up from 310. The hot RS Q3 reaches 62 mph in 4.8 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
