Audi has revealed another version of its sexy Prologue concept car – the Prologue Allroad. The latest concept follows up the first Prologue concept that debuted late last year at the Los Angeles Auto Show and the Prologue Avant concept that debuted last month in Geneva.
Audi has revealed another version of its sexy Prologue concept car – the Prologue Allroad. The latest concept follows up the first Prologue concept that debuted late last year at the Los Angeles Auto Show and the Prologue Avant concept that debuted last month in Geneva.
The Prologue Allroad concept provides a hint at the future styling of models, like the A4 and A6 Allroad. The Prologue Allroad takes the Avant concept, but its design is slightly modified for rougher terrain. It has a higher ride height, flared wheel arches and beefier bumpers. The Prologue Allroad rides on massive 22-inch wheels with a five-arm design.
The interior features a new display and operating concept. Across its full width, the front of the instrument panel is designed to be a display surface which integrates three touch displays. Aluminum frames surround the driver displays to the right and left of the steering wheel. The front passenger can configure infotainment options using a widescreen display fully integrated into the instrument panel. The passenger can swipe to send these to the right driver display or to the Audi virtual cockpit future behind the steering wheel.
One cool feature is the “butler” software program that identifies the passengers as they get in based on their smartphones and adjusts the seats and climate control system according to their preferences. The system also makes suggestions for music and route planning according to the owner’s preferences. The Easy Slot system in the center console connects the phones with the onboard infotainment system and charges them inductively.

The Prologue Allroad concept is powered by a 4.0L V8 with twin turbochargers and an electric motor that is integrated in the eight-speed automatic transmission. The system generates a total 734 horsepower and 664 lb-ft. of torque. The concept only takes 3.5 seconds to reach 62 mph and can travel almost 34 miles in electric mode. The Prologue Allroad concept can also be charged inductively.
