Audi has released a bunch of new photos of the Audi e-tron Sportback concept that is going to debut this week at the Shanghai Motor Show. None of the photos completely reveal the new concept, but the photos do give us a pretty good preview of what we’ll see later this week.

The e-tron Sportback concept isn’t expected to be a preview of a new production model, but instead will preview new Audi design elements that we’ll see on several of Audi’s new models, under design head Marc Lichte. One of those design elements will likely be the new grille that we’ll see on Audi’s upcoming electric models, like the Q8. Electric cars don’t need the extra cooling that a traditional grille provides, so this new more aerodynamic “closed off” design will likely be the new face of the upcoming e-tron models.

The overall design of the e-tron Sportback concept likely also previews some of the design details of the next-generation A7, like its greenhouse and the design of its taillights.
