It looks like we will not see the new Audi Q5 crossover in showrooms until sometime in 2009 at the earliest. Management wants to delay the model until some time in 2009 so that it can be labeled a 2010 model.
New hybrid and diesel versions of the larger Q7 crossover are also being delayed until some time in 2009. Both the Q5 and the new versions of the Q7 were set to be released in the third quarter of 2008 but now they are all being delayed due to marketing reasons.
The new models could be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2009.
