Audi has reportedly confirmed plans for a third body style of the new TT, which will eventually join the coupe and roadster versions. Just a few months ago Audi showed off the TT Offroad Concept in Beijing, which is a preview of the third version of the TT.
Audi development chief Ulrich Hackenberg recently stated at the launch of the all-new TT Coupe that the TT Offroad Concept “provides an insight into how we might envisage a new model in a future TT family.”

With the further expansion of Audi’s Q crossover lineup, is there really room for another crossover with a TT badge? The TT crossover with its more coupe-like roofline could give Audi a competitor to the BMW X4.

A time frame hasn’t been announced, but next month the TT Roadster is going to debut at the Paris Motor Show. The U.S. will not receive the third-generation TT until the third quarter of 2015, which means that the Roadster version will likely not arrive until sometime in 2016.
