Nissan has unveiled the all-new 2014 Nissan Rogue that will arrive in November starting at $22,490. The all-new Rogue ditches the somewhat awkward styling of the last model, for a more grownup exterior that looks like a mini Pathfinder.
The Rogue’s exterior now looks a bit more upscale and more in line with models like the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV-4. It gets available LED headlights, standard LED signature daytime running lights, outside mirrors with integrated turn signals and rear spoiler.
Inside the Rogue now gets an optional third row, giving it room for up to seven passengers. To aid with getting into the third row, the Rogue comes with Nissan’s EZ Flex seating system that includes a reclining 40/20/40-split 2nd row seat and 2nd row legroom of 37.9 inches and 9.0 inches of fore/aft adjustability. Available Rogue technology features include NissanConnect with Navigation and NissanConnect Apps; Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection; Blind Spot Warning; Lane Departure Warning; and Forward Collision Warning.
The 2014 Rogue is powered by a 2.5L four-cylinder engine with 170 horsepower and 175 lb-ft. of torque. The four-cylinder is mated to a standard Xtronic CVT and buyers can choose either front or all-wheel-drive. The front-wheel-drive Rogue is expected to be rated at 33 mpg on the highway, which is an 18 percent improvement over the 2013 model.
The base 2014 Rogue S front-wheel-drive starts at $22,290, while adding AWD bumps its base price up to $23,480. The top SL AWD starts at $29,420.
