Kia has announced the updates to the 2023 Kia Sorento SUV, which carries over into the new model year with package updates to add more standard features.

The base LX trim level now comes standard with a blind-spot monitor, rear-cross traffic alert and Safe Exit Assist. The S gets a wireless smartphone charger, while the EX gets an 8-way power front passenger seat and frameless rear view mirror. The SX gets a 12.3-inch infotainment system, power-folding exterior mirrors and rain-sensing windshield wipers. The top spec SX Prestige now comes with standard AWD, a 115-volt power inverter that can charge household items such as a laptop, Homelink, and retractable rear door shades. The X-Line package adds a more rugged look with unique bumper and exterior styling details, 20-inch alloy wheels and a bridge-type roof rack.

There are two four-cylinder engines to choose from, in addition to the hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains. The standard engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 191 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque, while a turbocharged 2.5-liter is available with 281 hp and 311 lb-ft.
