Volvo is taking a major swing at long-range EV leadership with the all-new EX60, an electric SUV promising up to 400 miles of range—the longest of any Volvo EV yet. Designed to make real road trips easier, the EX60 aims to eliminate range anxiety with numbers that outpace even its newest rivals.

Volvo says the EX60’s efficiency comes from its new SPA3 platform, which integrates the battery into the structure of the vehicle using cell-to-body engineering while cutting weight through in-house e-motors and mega-casting. The result is a more rigid, lighter EV capable of delivering its claimed class-leading range in everyday driving.

Charging speeds also jump significantly thanks to the EX60’s 800-volt electrical system. On a 400 kW fast charger, the EX60 can add up to 173 miles in just 10 minutes, making a quick coffee break enough to get back on the road.

Volvo will fully reveal the EX60 on January 21, 2026, during a global livestream event.
