To mark the Charger’s 60th anniversary in style, Dodge is unveiled a new color that will no doubt draw some attention. For the 2027 model year, a new color called Purple Haze will be a limited-run exterior paint option. It is a nod to the legendary bold colors of the muscle car days and is open for orders now at $795.

You won’t find Purple Haze on anything but the 2027 Charger lineup. It is part of Dodge’s long-standing practice of providing hues that are as much a part of the brand’s muscle car identity as the machines themselves.
“Color is a big deal to our Charger buyers,” says Dodge CEO Matt McAlear. “It is one of the top three things that go into their decision to buy. We know they don’t want to be one of the crowd, not since 1966. With Purple Haze we are cranking up 60 years of attitude. It is a factory-exclusive statement as formidable as the performance under the hood.”
The finish is a case of modern paint technology applied to classic styling. You get a high-gloss look that has a way of changing with the light; stand in the shade and it is a deep, rich purple, but put it in direct sun and you see brighter violet tones.
Purple has always been a signature for Dodge. Enthusiasts have made shades like Plum Crazy, In-Violet and Hellraisin into legends. Purple Haze will be available on every 2027 Charger, from the 420-horsepower R/T to the 550-horsepower Scat Pack Sixpack and even the all-electric 670-horsepower Daytona.
