There are two occasions for Nissan to put the Frontier pickup in the spotlight. In keeping with the United States’ 250th anniversary, the automaker has put on display a limited 2026 Nissan Frontier 250th Anniversary Edition. At the same time, it is marking the fact that the one-millionth Frontier has come off the line at its Canton, Mississippi plant.

You won’t find many of these special edition Frontiers; there will be only 2,500 of them and they are all being put together this July. The most obvious way to tell one apart is the tailgate, which bears an exclusive monochromatic Stars and Stripes graphic. It lends a patriotic air to the midsize truck.
Nissan is making the special tailgate badge available at no extra charge, but you have to go with a Frontier PRO-4X to get it, whether that is the standard or long-wheelbase version or a Roush model. You can have it in any of the existing exterior colors.
As for the 250th Anniversary Edition, don’t expect any mechanical tweaks. It is the same 310-horsepower V6 and the PRO-4X’s off-road hardware like the skid plates, all-terrain tires and suspension you would normally get.
