Cadillac has announced that the first ever electric Escalade, the Escalade IQ is going to debut on August 9. But we now have our first look at the Escalade IQ, since Cadillac just posted this photo on Instagram.
As we expected, the Escalade IQ is not based on the same platform as the standard Escalade. We don’t have any big details yet, but we expect that the Escalade IQ will be based on GM’s Ultium platform, just like the Cadillac Lyriq.
The Escalade IQ will likely share its powertrain with the GMC Hummer EV, which has up to 830 horsepower and a range close to 300 miles. If you brighten up this photo, we can also see that the Escalade IQ is sitting next to two other vehicles. One of them might be the Optiq. The 2025 Escalade IQ is slated to arrive in late 2024.
