BMW has unveiled the 2025 BMW 4 Series coupe and convertible models, which are getting a facelift for the new model year. In addition to updated styling, the four and six-cylinder engines also now feature 48V mild hybrid technology.
Starting with the exterior, the biggest updates are new headlights and Laserlight taillights. The 2025 M440i coupe and convertible feature a new kidney grille with a surround in black high-gloss and horizontally arranged bars with an M logo. At the rear end of the M440i models there are trapezoidal tailpipe trim signals. Lastly there are also two new 19-inch wheel designs.
Inside there’s a new steering wheel and climate control system. Temperature, fan speed, and seat and steering wheel heating can now be adjusted by touch via the BMW Curved Display or by voice command with the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant. There are new adjustment controls for the air vent grilles and ambient lighting with contour lighting integrated into the trim around the central vents.
Under the hood there are two engine options. The new 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engines in the 2025 M440i models feature a new 48V mild hybrid. The auxilliary electric drive of the 48V starter generator can provide 11 hp of boost to the 375 hp engine, which gives it a total of 386 and 398 lb-ft of torque.
The 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine in the 2025 430i also benefits from 48V mild hybrid technology, as well as incorporation of the Miller cycle combustion process, a redesign of the intake ports and combustion chambers, and updates to the camshaft control, injection, ignition system, and exhaust gas routing. The 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine produces 255 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque.
The pricing for the 2025 BMW 430i Coupe starts at $51,655 and the 2025 BMW 430i Convertible starts at $59,655. The 2025 BMW M440i Coupe is priced at $65,205 and the 2025 BMW M440i Convertible is priced at $73,205. The 2025 BMW 4 Series coupe and convertible will arrive in March.
