Honda has pulled the covers off its new electric vehicle, the 2024 Prologue EV. The Prologue is slated to launch in 2024 and will be positioned above the CR-V in Honda’s SUV lineup.

The Prologue features a “Neo-Rugged” exterior design language. “Neo-rugged was coined as the design direction, bringing the harmony of nature’s elements to the exterior and interior of Prologue. This design direction is reflected in details like the panoramic roof and large 21-inch wheels, which give the model a capable and planted exterior,” Honda said in a press release.

Compared to the 2023 CR-V, the Prologue is about 8-inches longer and 5-inches wider, making it a midsize SUV that will be sold alongside the Passport. Inside there’s a standard 11-inch gauge cluster and an 11.3-inch infotainment display. Under the skin, the Prologue is based on GM’s Ultium EV platform, which is the basis for several EVS, like the Cadillac Lyriq and Chevy Blazer EV.

Honda feels that many of the CR-V hybrid buyers will eventually switch over to an EV, like the Prologue. So to make that transition easier, Honda is offering a short two-year lease for the new CR-V hybrid in ZEV states.
