Toyota announced a few months ago the updates to the 2023 Highlander, with the big news being the new turbocharged four-cylinder that replaces the old V6. Now Toyota has revealed the pricing details for the updated Highlander, which starts at $37,775, including the destination charge. The all-wheel drive Highlander starts at $39,355.

The new 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder is now the standard engine in the Highlander and generates 265 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. Compared to the old 3.5-liter V6, the new turbo has 30 less horsepower, but an extra 46 lb-ft. The four-cylinder is rated at 25 mpg combined and Toyota also says that it significantly reduces NOx and NMOG emissions.

The four-cylinder Highlander can tow up to 5,000 pounds and has a Trailer Sway Control that helps make it easier to drive with a trailer attached.

Other updates include new dual 12.3-inch digital screens on the Limited or Platinum trims, while the XLE and XSE trims are available with the larger infotainment screen.
