GMC unveiled its second electric truck, the 2024 GMC Sierra EV a few days ago, and it looks like the demand has been great, since the first version is already sold out. Just a few hours after GMC starting taking reservations for the limited Sierra Denali EV Edition 1, GMC has confirmed that the available reservations have all been filled. Now you can only put your name on the waitlist if you weren’t lucky enough to get a reservation.

2024 GMC Sierra EV

Although the GMC Sierra Denali EV Edition 1 will arrive with a price tag starting at $108,695, buyers only had to put down a $100 deposit to reserve the electric truck. GMC has not announced how many reservations it was taking for the Edition 1.

As expected, the Sierra EV is closely related to the Chevy Silverado EV and it’s also based on the same Ultium platform that underpins GM’s other new EVs. The Edition 1 is powered by two electric motors that generate a combined 754 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque. GMC estimates that it will have a driving range around 400 miles. The first deliveries are set for early 2024. GMC has also confirmed that it will introduce the more affordable Sierra EV AT4 and Elevation versions for the 2025 model year, with a starting price around $50,000.
