The Toyota 4Runner is celebrating a big birthday as the off-roading SUV celebrates its 40th birthday. To celebrate the 40-year mark, Toyota has unveiled the 2023 4Runner 40th Anniversary Special Edition. Only 4,040 units will be made and it wears unique retro body graphics.
The 2023 Toyota 4Runner 40th Anniversary Special Edition is based on the SR5 Premium trim level and will be available in three colors: White, Midnight Black Metallic and Barcelona Red Metallic. It stands out with its yellow/orange/red body graphics, bronze-colored 17-inch alloy wheels, a TOYOTA heritage grille and special 40th Anniversary badging.
Inside it gets special badging on the center console and features a bronze-colored cross-stitch shift knob, bronze-colored seat stitching, 40th Anniversary floormats and a 40th Anniversary logo on the seats. It’s only available with 4WD.
The other updates for the 2023 4Runner include a standard blind spot monitor and rear cross traffic alert. The 2023 4Runner TRD Pro also gets a new color – Solar Octane.
