Polestar has unveiled a second limited edition version of the Polestar 2, called the BST edition 230. It follows the limited BST edition 270 that debuted last year.
“Limited drops like the BST edition 230 allow us to explore colors, graphics and materials in faster and more creative ways,” says Thomas Ingenlath, Polestar CEO.
The 2023 Polestar 2 BST edition 230 comes in green Nebula, which is the first time that the color has been offered on a Polestar. If the new green color isn’t your taste, it can also be ordered in Space black. Inside the seats are wrapped in MicroSuede and the inserts on the steering wheel are made from partly recycled Nubuck.
It gets all the same chassis upgrades as the first BST edition, which includes a 25 mm lower ride height, unique Öhlins 2-way adjustable dampers with external reservoir, a front strut bar, 20 percent stiffer springs and unique black 21-inch alloy wheels inspired by Polestar 1. The wheels are wrapped in 245/35R21 Pirelli P Zero tires that were developed specifically for the Polestar BST edition cars.
The dual motor powertrain generates a combined 476 horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque. The Polestar 2 BST edition 230 can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds. Polestar only plans to build a total 230 units for Europe and North America. Only 60 units will be built for the U.S. and Canada. Deliveries will start in the third quarter of 2023.
