Lexus has unveiled the updates to the 2023 Lexus UX small crossover. The big news is that the UX will now only be offered as a hybrid and it gets the new infotainment system that debuted in the larger NX.

2023 Lexus UXh

The 2023 Lexus UX 250h gets a new larger touchscreen, with an optional 12.3-inch display. An 8-inch display is standard. The new infotainment system runs on the Lexus Interface system that also features a voice assistant where the driver can simply say “Hey Lexus” for voice activated commands. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto have also been added.

On the safety front, the 2023 Lexus UXh comes standard with the Lexus  Safety System+ 2.5 suite of technologies, which includes a updates to the single-lens camera and radar system to help it better detect pedestrians, bicyclists and oncoming vehicles when making a right turn. A curve speed-control function that decelerates the UXh in advance according to the size of an approaching curve has been added to the adaptive cruise control system.

There aren’t any changes under the hood, but the 2023 UXh does get some updates to improve its steering response and handling. Structural rigidity has also improved by adding 20 spot welding points on the body. The 2023 Lexus UX 250h will arrive this summer.
