Ford has unveiled the 2023 Ford Escape SUV, which has received a small facelift for the new model year and some updated tech features.

The updates to the 2023 Escape are small, with the biggest changes being at the front with a new grille and headlights. The new ST-Line trim level also gets a unique grille mesh and body-color body cladding to give the small SUV a bit more style.

Inside there are new instrument and infotainment screens. The Escape comes standard with two 8-inch screens, but higher trim levels get a 12.3-inch instrument screen and a 13.2-inch infotainment screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. The available Co-Piloit 360 safety suite now has the ability to automatically apply the brakes when turning in an intersection and the blind-spot warning system can slightly move you back in your lane to prevent a collision.

The Escape comes standard with a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine with 180 horsepower that’s sent to the front wheels. A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 250 horsepower is optional and comes with either front- or all-wheel drive. A hybrid returns with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that generates 199 horsepower, while the plug-in hybrid has 210 horsepower and 37 miles of electric range.
