The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has announced that the 2023 Acura Integra has received its highest possible safety rating for 2022 – Top Safety Pick+.
To qualify for the top award this year, a vehicle has to receive a “good” rating in all the crash tests, which includes the driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, original side, roof strength and head restraint tests. The vehicle must also be available with a front crash prevention system that earns either an Advanced or Superior rating in both the vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian evaluations.
For the higher tier Top Safety Pick+ award, all the available headlights have to earn the good rating.
We’ll have to wait and see if the 2023 Integra qualifies for the updated 2023 award, which includes a new more challenging side crash test.
