We like the Volkswagen Arteon, but in our last review we did wish that it had a bit more power under the hood. Well VW has fixed that, since the 2022 Arteon now has more power.

The 2022 Arteon is now powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that generates 300 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. That’s an increase of 32 hp and 37 pound-feet of torque. The previous eight-speed automatic transmission has also been swapped out for a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The Arteon received a facelift last year, so there aren’t any big styling updates for the new model year. It does get new 18- and 20-inch wheels. The SE model also now comes standard with park assist and a wireless phone charger.

The pricing for the 2022 Arteon starts at $41,190 for the base SE R-Line model, which is a $3,000 increase over last year’s SE model. If you want all-wheel drive, the SEL R-Line comes standard with AWD and starts at $45,810.
