The Toyota RAV4 is celebrating its 25th anniversary, since it was one of the first compact crossovers when it arrived in 1996. Now five generations later, Toyota is celebrating the RAV4 with a few updates for the 2022 model year.
The big news is the addition of a new SE Hybrid trim level and there are some styling and interior updates. The new SE Hybrid gives buyers another choice if they want a sportier version, but at a lower price than the XSE. The SE Hybrid gets mono-tone paint, fabric seats, and a 7-inch touchscreen with six speakers. It’s also available with a weather package that adds a heated leather steering wheel, heated front seats and rain-sensing wipers. The convenience package adds a moonroof, power liftgate and a 9-inch touchscreen.
If you opt for the RAV4 XSE, SE Hybrid or TRD OFF-Road version, there’s a new color option: Calvary Blue with a black roof.
On the outside there’s also new headlights, fog lights and wheels.
The 2022 Toyota RAV4 will go on sale in mid-December.
