Last month Lexus unveiled the 2022 IS 500 F Sport Performance, which is now the top spec IS with its 5.0-liter V8. Now Lexus has revealed the IS 500 F Sport Performance Launch Edition, which is limited to only 500 units, which will only be sold in North America.
The IS 500 Launch Edition is powered by the same naturally-aspirated 5.0-liter V8 as the standard IS 500, which means there’s 472 horsepower and 395 pound-feet of torque on tap.
To help it stand out from the standard IS 500, the Launch Edition gets two-tone Black & Gray Ultrasuede on the seats, center console and door inserts. The leather-wrapped steering wheel also gets a silver wood ash treatment and there’s a Launch Edition badge on the center console. When you hit the start button, you’ll constantly be reminded of how special this IS 500 is thanks to its Launch Edition startup animation.
On the outside the IS 500 Launch Edition gets 19-inch Matte Black BBS wheels. Lastly it’s only available in one color, Incognito.
Lexus has not announced the pricing for the 2022 IS 500 F Sport Performance or the Launch Edition, but both of them will arrive this fall.
