Kia has given the 2022 Stinger some nice updates, but now we’ve learned that they also increase the price of one of Kia’s best models. CarsDirect has received an order guide, which reveals that the base price for the 2022 Stinger will increase by up to $3,000.

The 2022 Stinger GT-Line will start at $37,135, including the destination charge, which is an increase of $3,000 over the 2021 Stinger. The 2022 Stinger will also cost $110 more than the 2020 Genesis G70.

The big news is that the 2022 Kia Stinger gets a better base engine, since the previous 255 horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder has been swapped out for a 2.5-liter turbo that generates 300 hp and 311 pound-feet of torque.

The 3.3-liter turbocharged V6 now generates 368 hp and 376 lb-ft. of torque, an increase of three horsepower.

On the outside the 2022 Stinger does get some small styling updates, like new headlights and taillights and new wheels. Inside there’s a new 10.25-inch infotainment screen and new Nappa leather seats on the GT2 trim level.
