We love the Kia Stinger and now Kia has made it even better for the 2022 model year. Not only does it get some styling updates, but there’s also more power under the hood and some interior upgrades.
On the outside the 2022 Stinger gets new LED headlights and a rear full width taillights, new 18- and 19-inch wheels and more aggressive exhaust tips. Lastly the new Stinger also gets Kia’s new logo.
Inside the biggest upgrade is a new 10.25-inch touchscreen display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There’s also a larger 4.2-inch TFT cluster display that’s now easier to read or there’s an available 7-inch center cluster display. Other interior upgrades include a new black gloss and chrome details on the instrument panel, LED mood lighting and new stitching on the door panels.
Under the hood the previous 2.0-liter four-cylinder has been swapped out for a new turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. The four-cylinder is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and all that power can be sent to either the rear or all four wheels. The four-cylinder Stinger can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.2 seconds.
The new 3.3-liter V6 also has a tiny bit more power at 368 hp and 376 lb-ft. It also gets a new electronic variable exhaust system. The V6 powered Stinger can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds.
The pricing for the 2022 Kia Stinger starts at $37,125 for the GT-Line model, which is $3,000 more than last year’s base price.
