The current generation Kia Sportage is nearing the end of its life, with an all-new version coming for the 2023 model year. Because of this, the 2022 Kia Sportage largely carries over into the new model year without any big changes.
The only significant changes are with the trim levels. There’s a new LX Value Edition Package that adds 18-in. dark gray wheels, Smart key with push button start and heated front seats. The Nightfall Edition also replaces the S trim and is now a standalone package, and the panoramic sunroof is now standard on the EX trim.
Lastly the EX Tech Package and SX Turbo are equipped with new map updates including new points of interest and ADAS features support.
Buyers can still choose between either a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 181 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque or a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 240 hp and 260 lb-ft.
The 2022 Kia Sportage starts at $25,265, including the destination charge.
