The 2022 Ford Maverick and Hyundai Santa Cruz are two small unibody pickup trucks that are aimed at truck buyers that don’t need something as big as an full size truck. Ford and Hyundai have already announced the pricing for both trucks, but now we’ve learned that the Santa Cruz has worse resale value than the Maverick.

2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz

The 2022 Santa Cruz is available with a $269 a month lease deal for 36 months. According to CarsDirect that offer is based on a resale value of 60 percent. That is slightly lower than the Maverick XL Hybrid, which has a resale value of 62 percent based on 10,500 miles a year. The Maverick XLT Hybrid has an even higher 64 percent residual value after three years.

Ford has not announced any lease deals yet for the Maverick. It’s been reported that the cheapest Maverick will not be available for lease deals.

The pricing for the 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz starts at $25,175, while the Maverick starts at $21,490.
