Ford has announced the specs for the 2021 Ford F-150 Hybrid and they are impressive.
The F-150 Hybrid is powered by a 3.5-liter PowerBoost V6 and an electric motor that generate a combined 430 horsepower and 570 pound-feet of torque. That’s the highest torque rating ever in an F-150 and the F-150 Hybrid is also the most powerful powertrain available in the new F-150. It can also two up to 12,700 pounds and its standard Pro Power Onboard brings 2.4 kilowatts or 7.2 kilowatts of exportable power, which Ford says is enough to power 28 average refrigerators.
The rest of the Ford F-150’s engine lineup also gets some upgrades. The 5.0-liter V8 now has an additional 5 horsepower and 10 lb.-ft. of torque, to 400 horsepower and 410 lb.-ft. The 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 now has 400 horsepower and 500 lb.-ft., an increase of 25 horsepower and 30 lb.-ft. of torque. The 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 also has the highest tow rating, at 14,000 pounds.
The base engine is the 3.3-liter V6 with 290-hp and 265 lb-ft., while the 2.7-liter EcoBoost has 325-hp and 400 lb-ft. All six engine options are mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
