The much anticipated 2021 Acura TLX Type S is going to officially arrive in late May. Acura hasn’t released the full pricing details yet, other than stating that it will start in the “low $50,000s.”
The TLX Type S is powered by a new 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 that generates 355 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. The V6 is mated to Acura’s Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system with torque vectoring. The TLX Type S also gets an exclusive Sport+ driving mode.
The TLX Type S will be available in six exterior colors with three interior options. The new Tiger Eye Pearl and Orchid leather interior are exclusive to the Type S. Inside the seats are wrapped in Ultrasuede and there’s an ELS Studio 3D 17-speaker audio system.
