In a move to let enthusiasts in on its next-generation design language, Acura has announced that it will be unveiling a new concept car at Monterey Car Week. The world’s first look at the concept is set for August 14 at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, with an appearance on the Concept Lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance to follow on the 16th.
Acura has already offered a glimpse of what is to come with a teaser image of the Acura concept, one that shows off the rear styling in the form of slim LED taillights and some illuminated lettering. There are clear similarities to the Acura Hybrid SUV prototype put forward not long ago, suggesting the path the brand intends to chart for its future models.
Acura has made it plain that this design will have a bearing on the fourth-generation Acura RDX Hybrid, an addition to the brand’s growing electrified roster that should be with us before too long.
