Toyota has given the 2020 Toyota 4Runner several upgrades for the new year, including a long list of new safety features. While the new features are a welcome addition to one of Toyota’s oldest models, they come at a cost.

2020 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro

According to pricing documents discovered by Cars Direct, the 2020 Toyota 4Runner will start at $37,140, which is a $735 increase over last year’s model. The 2020 4Runner SR5 Premium is priced at $40,335, a $2,100 increase. The TRD Off Road and Off Road Premium models also get a rising $1,280 and $2,100, price increase respectively. At the top of the lineup, the 2020 4Runner TRD Pro starts at $50,885, a price increase of $2,975, including the destination fees.

The big upgrade is the addition of Toyota Safety Sense P, which adds automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. The 2020 4Runner also now offers model will also offer connectivity with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto via a new 8-inch touchscreen.

Although the 4Runner TRD Pro is more expensive now, it does come with more features, like the TRD cat-back exhaust, upgraded HVAC controls and a push button start.
