Hyundai may currently offer the Santa Fe XL, but it’s now out, thanks to the arrival of the 2020 Hyundai Palisade. The eight-passenger 2020 Palisade will sit at the top of Hyundai’s SUV lineup with a new level of style and comfort that should help appeal to families.

The 2020 Palisade looks similar to the new Santa Fe, but with an even more upscale look. It’s also larger than outgoing Santa Fe XL with a three-inch longer length. It’s also over three inches wider and over two inches longer. Even its wheelbase is four inches longer, which all translates to more space.

Every seat in the house as more legroom than its predecessor and there’s even more cargo space behind the third row 18 cubic feet vs 13.5 in the Santa Fe XL. With the third row folded, the Palisade has 45.8 cubic feet of space, which is more than you’ll get with the Toyota Highlander or Ford Explorer.

Under the hood the Palisade features a 3.8L V6 that generates 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft. of torque. The V6 is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive is optional.

To appeal to families, the Palisade will offer a long list of technologies, like a 10-inch display, wireless charging, seven USB outlet, and second-row ventilated seats.

The 2020 Hyundai Palisade will arrive next summer.
